FOREST REST HOUSE NIGHT STAY BOOKING

Halduparao FRH:

The road from Vatanvasa Gate to Halduparo FRH is rocky, passes through hill, river beds and not suitable for drivers from out side as it passes through dense jungle of Kalagarh Tiger Reserve. 

Morghatti FRH:

The road from Saneh to Morghatti FRH is ok till Pakhro FRH after that it is Off-road drive till Morghatti FRH. Gypsy is mandatory for this FRH stay.

For some FRH like Pakhro,  Mundiapani and Rathuwadhab are near to road which is accessible by normal car. But the area passes through dense forest for many kilometer with no human presence and you may encounter with any wild animal (specially wild elephant, wild boar, deers, leopard, or tiger etc), we don’t advise to travel on these area with own vehicle if you are not able to handle unprecedented situation due to any wild life movement on road. Gypsy (Jeep) drivers are well versed to drive such areas and know how to handle situation without harming animal as well as guests. 

This activity is in complete package form which involve.

  1. First day transfer from Entry Gate to Forest Rest House.  Your car will be park any suitable location near entry gate. 
  2. Evening Jungle Safari on prescribed location near FRH/zone
  3. Next Day morning Jungle Safari on prescribed location near FRH/zone
  4. Drive back to Entry gate

Note:

  • Accommodation can be booked up to 45 days in advance. For foreign nationals, some facilities can be booked up to 90 days in advance. All reservations are provisional in nature and are subject to modification/cancellation by the Field Director, Corbett Tiger Reserve without assigning any reasons.
  • Don’t fill form if your travel is with in 3 days of your arrival. We are not able to provide you FRH. It is time taking process. So our response will also be very slow.
  • Filling the adjacent form is not the confirmation of booking. It is first step of your interest. After filling form our service executive call you and update the availability.
  • If you confirm the booking of particular FRH, the following details need to provided along with Payment.
    • Name, Age, Gender, Nationality, ID Card of each person (maximum 6 persons)
    • One Passport size photo of group leader
    • Mobile number
    • Payment
  • Double booking charge will be collected for Saturday, Sunday and Gazeted holidays for above bookings. Read Order Copy point number 5.
  • Guide is mandatory and Guide fees directly paid at respective entry gates by guest itself. We don’t collect guide fees.
  • Refund and Cancellation: Once permit is generated, no refund, cancellation, (transfer of permit) is possible, as Corbett Authority does not entertain on this.
  • When permit generated online 20.05% extra Booking Charges applicable per night on Total Permit Cost. For Offline Stay permit generation Rs.2500.00 extra booking charges per night applicable on Total.

Forest Rest House Booking is subject to availability, due to high demand. At Kalagarh Tiger Reserve (Sonanadi WLS) of Corbett, each FRH has 2 rooms and 4-6 persons (including children) can stay at a time. Kitchen facility is provided for cooking, for which guests need to take their own rations. The room attendants can provide necessary help in cooking. FRH Can be book only for 3 Nights / 4 Days. Gypsy will be also booked with any FRH. No FRH booking is permitted with out Gypsy Booking.

The above FRH are administrate by Lansedowne Forest Division and attached with Kalagarh Tiger Reserve. You and even wild animal can not differentiate that he/it is inside Kalagarh Tiger Reserve or Lansedowne Forest Division and share common borderline, same habitat and similar landscape. Some times guests may feel more wilderness in these FRH than Kalagarh Tiger Reserve. We are unable to judge which is better or best. The FRH booking of above are follow standard old official process of getting manual stay permit.

fill it (in favour of DFO, Lansedowne Forest Division) and send back through above form. Since this process require DFO Sir signature to stay at particular FRH, the request letter must reach before 3 days of your arrival and have patience to get the process done.
